Procedure for Seeking Information
Steps and statutory conditions for filing an application under the RTI Act, 2005.
- Any citizen of India can submit an application under the RTI Act, 2005 in written form or electronically, in English or Bengali.
- The application must specify the particulars of the information sought and be accompanied by the statutory fee of ₹10/- (Rupees Ten only), payable via Court Fee Stamp / Demand Draft / IPO drawn in favour of Principal, Kalyani Government Engineering College.
- Applicants belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category are exempt from payment of the fee upon producing valid proof.
- Information will be provided within 30 days from the date of receipt of the application, subject to the provisions of Sections 8 and 9 of the Act.
